E|DPC 2014 sets impulses

618 trade visitors and 38 exhibitors met at E|DPC - Electric Drives Production Conference and Exhibition 2014 in Nuremberg and discussed the latest developments as well as trends of the production of electric drives and generators.

Renowned exhibitors such as Aumann, ELANTAS Beck, MagCam, Marsilli, Scheugenpflug, SCHLEICH, SICK, Siemens Industry Sector, SPS electronic, Stiefelmayer-Lasertechnik, Gebrüder Waasner, VACUUMSCHMELZE and Wieland-Werke presented in hall 12 their products and innovations to high-ranking representatives and deciders of the industry sector.

340 conference participants attended the parallel IEEE Conference held in English, in which the future trends of the production technologies of electric drives, materials and systems with a focus on the winding and magnet assembly and the electric steel processing were presented in more than 120 technical presentations and posters. For the first time the colloquium of the Green Factory Bavaria was integrated. In the parallel section about the energy transfer in electric vehicles (E|TEV), methods have been presented for contactless power transfer in electric vehicles. The E-MOTIVE section, organized by the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), was for the second time part of the conference.
